Providence St. Vincent North Parking Garage Expansion

< Back to Portfolio

成人视频 built the original 1,200 car garage and expanded it by 825 cars 13 years later.

The St. Vincent Medical Center North Parking Structure is one of the largest parking garages in Oregon.

The original structure is a 10-level, 1,200-car, 400,000 SF concrete structure that was built into a hillside on an occupied hospital campus. Five levels of the garage are below grade from the campus. The hillside is immediately adjacent to an environmentally protected forest.

The 4-level expansion was built atop the original garage while parking remained open on lower levels. The structural steel framed, 267,264 SF expansion increased the garages parking capacity by 825 cars. The addition was built with steel instead of concrete so the existing structure could support the addition’s weight but it utilized castellated beams to lighten the load.

The project was awarded by Oregon Chapter American Concrete Institute and Oregon Concrete and Aggregate Producers Association the 2010 Excellence in Concrete Award.
